Exclusive Interview with the Jai
MMO:
What made you get interested in modeling?
Jai: Well I did a little here and
there when I was
younger. I never took it seriously, but as I got older
I would always get stopped in the mall. So long story
short, at about the age of 19 or 20, I had my first
professional shoot, and it was so good I just took it
from there. I am still not signed. Everything I have
done has been because of me.
MMO:
What is your Astrological sign?
Jai: Scorpio... what else it there?
MMO:
Kisses or Hugs?
Jai: Well, kisses are more intimate
and I don’t just
go around kissing people... so I say hugs.
MMO:
Nickname?
Jai: Wow! You all actually went there.
I am going to
play it safe; it's Pooh. When I was born, I was so fat
and yellow, and it kind of stuck cause I loved Winnie
The Pooh. I still do.
MMO:
What is your favorite "around the house" lounge
wear?
Jai: Sweat pants and wife beater,
basketball shorts
with wife beater.
MMO:
French fries or Salad?
Jai: If it’s a grilled chicken
salad then salad...
it's better for you.
MMO:
Tell us one thing about yourself that would
surprise people that know you?
Jai: That I am not really quiet at
all. I am reserved.
MMO:
Can you play chess?
Jai: No not anymore. I haven’t
played in so long.
MMO:
If you won $100 million tomorrow, what charitable organization
would you donate money to?
Jai: The kids in Africa, AIDS Research,
and New Orleans Katrina Relief.
MMO:
What is your favorite meal to cook for someone?
Jai: Baked or grilled lemon pepper
chicken with wild
rice, a side of their choice and homemade tea... or
spaghetti using turkey meat.
MMO:
What do you consider to be your greatest physical
asset?
Jai: My lips. Not a day goes by that
I don’t get a
compliment on them.
MMO:
What are your goals in the modeling world?
Jai: To be on the cover of magazines
and runways even
though I am a little shorter than 6 feet. But, I also
know that modeling is a temporary career so I am
already putting my hand in other things such as
photography. I am writing a movie, and also helping
other models get that exposure they need to get
noticed with this new calendar I am about to put out
in August 2007. It’s going to be fire... haven’t seen
anything like it. I am excited about the project!
MMO:
If you could change something about the world,
what would it be?
Jai: The acceptance level of people
and the hatred. It
serves no purpose.
MMO:
If you could have lunch with anyone who would it
be?
Jai: Nelson Mandela
MMO:
What (3) words best describe you?
Jai: Driven. Focused. Determined.
MMO:
What are the pros and cons of the modeling world?
Jai: Pros would be me traveling,
meeting different
people, celebrities and having new experiences. Cons
would be the shadiness, the tediousness and the long
hours. This industry is not as easy as people think.
It most definitely is a hustle... just like life.
MMO:
Who is your role model in the modeling industry?
Jai: Datari Turner. He thinks like
me. Outside of
modeling, he has other things going on.
MMO:
What best distinguishes you from the other male
models in the industry?
Jai: All that I bring to the table.
My look, my
personality, the drive I have of staying till I get
better than what you want, being a people person and I
love having fun.
MMO:
What is your most exciting experience in the
modeling world?
Jai: I really believe that all of
the experiences I am
having, good and bad are exciting. I am learning and
growing everyday, but to break it down... it would
have to be when I started booking shows, doing
interviews for online magazines, and shooting in New
York.
MMO:
If you could be photographed anywhere in the
world, where would that be?
Jai: Hands down in Europe and Italy.
It’s just
beautiful over there.
MMO:
What has been the most exciting place that you
have traveled?
Jai: Right now I would have to say
New York. There is
no other city in the U.S. like it.
MMO:
